How We Started

Timber & Bean started in 2019 with a 5-pound roaster in a Portland garage. What began as a weekend obsession quickly became a local favorite, supplying coffee to cafes and homes across Maine.

Today we roast in a dedicated facility using a 15-kilogram Probat, sourcing green beans directly from producers in Ethiopia, Colombia, and Central America.

Our Approach

Every batch is roasted to order. We never roast more than we can sell in 48 hours. This ensures you receive coffee at its peak flavor, not sitting on a shelf for weeks.

We pay above fair trade prices for all our green beans and maintain direct relationships with our producer partners.
